I have already posted the first attempt at this in the still life section but wanted to get some C&C on this second attempt.

settings are:

Focal Length: 41.0mm
Exposure Time: 4.000 s
Aperture: f/5.0
ISO equiv: 200
White Balance: Auto
Exposure: Manual
Exposure Mode: Manual

The doll was placed on grey coloured card and in a fairly dark room I painted this with my iPhone using a torch app set to white. I tried to get the subject from all angles to get soft shadows. Shot with a 400D and the 18-55mm kit lens.

I have only had my camera about 3 weeks and will eventually add more kit so this is me just experimenting at the moment.

That's probably the most unique approach to lighting that I've ever heard. An iPhone for lighting? The possibilities seem endless. Did you throw away any shots where you inadvertently got the iPhone in it?

I managed to keep the iPhone out of all the shots but I did hit the tripod a few times!
