These shots were taken near Jasper. The waterfall is Athabasca Falls, so powerful its mist fills the scene and creates a rainbow. The other is Medicine Lake, which I'm told goes almost completely dry at certain times.

I like #2. I like it a lot.
You know, I used to think there would be a load of photo opportunities in and around San Diego. Seeing shots like these, though, convince me I need to travel more...

Very nices photos. I like the rainbow. You really get around. When did you take these photos? I think this area is buried in snow right now.

The first one looks like a real tough shot to get. Good job. :) The second looks like a painting. Very nice.

Thanks for your comments. Those were taken last July, as we returned from Alaska through British Columbia and Alberta. I'm sure the snow is very deep there at the moment. We travel (in a motorhome) much of the time, trying to see it all before running out of fuel (pun). We've made several trips to the Canadian Rockies, which we think is the prettiest area we've seen (although others are close).

Nice shots . . . I like them both. Rainbows in the mist are fun, but a blue sky with clouds like those makes it tough.

Thanks, all.
latigid soe...Working out of Jasper must be a great thrill, and you're right...too bad you weren't snapping all the time. I'd love to stay there long enough to really learn the area and see it in different seasons.
