Utes Parade - Undefeated 13-0

Those familiar with college football will know about the Utah Utes beating Alabama in the Sugar Bowl this year. They went a perfect 13-0 so they had a parade today. Coach Whittingham was named AFCA National Coach of the Year and the Paul "Bear" Bryant College Coach of the Year

College football needs playoffs. But being Florida alumni I am happy with Gators winning the national championship though the match up was boring in the first half. Utah/Alabama game was much better to watch.

We would have loved a chance to play the Gators for the title. I agree that they really need a playoff system.

OK, here's mine. I'm pretty new to SLR cameras and this was my hardest shoot yet. There was a terrible haze and the lighting was mixed. Usually half the frame was bright harsh light and the rest dark shade. Plus I did not realize I was locked on center AF point, so some of my shots are off focus. It was fun cheering on the Utes anyway.

Unfortunately non of my cheerleader shots worked out ;)

Must...not...comment...oh well...EVERYONE also said the same thing about Alabama and look what happened. Sorry couldn't resist. Just goes to show how badly we need a playoff.

Anyway...back to photography. Here's one of the chear leaders and check out the smile on the guy in the 2nd pic, to the right holding the TV camera. Not to mention the two guys on the left taking their own pics. Thought it was kind of funny. Those girls had to be cold. It was NOT warm in the shade of the buildings.

The difference was Utah was PUMPED to be in the Sugar Bowl and Alabama was disappointed to be there, and unmotivated (and it showed). Bama was hoping to be in the National Championship game.

Regardless, playoffs would be awesome and would rival March Madness. I hope to see playoffs in my lifetime.
