Has anyone used the Belkin Media Reader for iPod w/ Dock Connector? Would like to know how useful/useless it is before laying down $80 for it.
Thanks

slower than molasses dripping off a polar bear's butt... it's something like 30 minutes for 256megs. it may be 512, but at that rate, who cares...
if you are looking for a portable storage device to offload your images, then i suggest the epson p2000 or any of the other fine items designed for this.

Here's my review from a while back...I'm surprised the price hasn't dropped much:

It is a very basic device with limited file functions; however, if you are trying to consolidate devices on a trip, it's not bad. If you are shooting lots of RAW, you should probably consider something more dedicated.

I'm surprised at the cost too. I've got an iPod, so it was the natural idea to link camera and 'Pod. But then I saw the price. Here in the UK it's GBP90 (USD160) so it's not been on my shopping list at all. Personally I think it's worth about £20, so I'm keeping an eye on eBay!

if you have an iPod Photo, get the new iPod Camera Connector.
