Taken from Fort Baker on the Marin side. 1/4 second, f/4, ISO 1600, 5DMkII, 24-105 Lens. This one was about 45 minutes after sunset, no PP other than resizing for the web. The bright dot in the sky above the bridge is one of the planets. I kept the exposure time short because I didn't want to lose the water surface detail.

Super! Can you clone out that star or white dot? That's my only distraction.

When I first looked at it, I thought I had a hot pixel or something. But now, I rather like the planet in there. If I were going to do some PP on this picture, I would clone out the red & white sailboat lights on the extreme left side center of the shot too.

To make public time short water surface detail, I am quite also rare .

I personally would crop some of the water in the foreground - but a good shot nonetheless.

great photo. Well framed by the dark spots. It is hard to tell that is a planet and not a bum pixel though.

I understand your point, but it seems like the water in the foreground adds depth to it.

The reason I say that is because I have a picture, taken from same spot, framed and hanging on my wall - and every time I look at it, I wish I had cropped some of the water in the foreground! :)

I appreciate everyone's suggestions and comments. Thanks! I'm taking a Photoshop class this fall, and this photo will be one of my class projects. Roy - I'm still in a debate with myself about whether to crop the picture, or become a "Master of the Universe" and delete the planet. ;)

Lol, well that stinks. Sounds like someone needs to fork up some cash and get it reprinted ;)
