I really like the tone/feel of the colours :-) The bottom 2/3rds of the door are a bit dark I think however, if you lightened the doors just a little I think it would ad to it.

As CanadiankitKat suggested. Attached w/Shadow/highlight filter adjustment in CS4. Shadow: Amount 34% Tonal Width 20% Radius 5 px

The image is good as it is and all can be a bit subjective. But a little more shadow detail may be needed.

I like the first one MUCH better. Second looks noisy. How did you get color on part of the door and rest of the pic b/w? I need to learn some PS skills. :(

just lassoed the door and converted the rest of the image to B&W using the adjustment layer method.

I kind of like the first image. Gives me the sense of being dark and foreboding, but the slight color to the door draws me into it, in a subtle way.

Dark doorway is ok, but the door panels need a bit more light. dark doors are not inviting. Maybe bottom 1/3rd or less that way the eyes see's an inviting handle to open with.

got ya.. i liked mine at first.. but when you compare the 2 its 2 completely different feels... and yours is more inviting.. mine almost looks like it should be the doors to a haunted building.
