Any thoughts from you pros who use a Canon 14mm wide angle? I am in need of a wide angle lens. Are you happy with it or would you go with another brand? I'd appreciate hearing the good and the bad on this lens from actual working pros. Thanks.

I would never again go with another brand (unless I was using Nikon). I've heard good things about the Canon 14mm and I've also heard bad things about the Sigma (soft close up). I must stress that this is only what I've heard. I use to own a sigma 70-200mm but I've never owned a 14mm either Sigma or Canon. The Canon 16-35 is great!!! Sorry I can't be of more help.

I use the Canon 15mm fisheye -- on a 20D, where it becomes the equivalent of a 24mm -- and find it to be an exemplary lens in every respect. Unfortunately, I do not know a thing about the 14mm, but since I'm only a millimeter off, I just thought I'd throw in my two cents.

I also carry the fisheye - great lens. I am impressed by the images that it can produce.

I have it, but don't use it a lot.

I have the Sigma 12-24, and even though it's nowhere near the quality optically, it's just so much fun to use, I find it on the camera quite a bit more than the 14mm. There is no question the 14 is a far superior lens, though.

my buddy uses the 14mm extensivly and he says its worth the purchase. I personally have tryed the 15mm fisheye and i thik its an awesome piece of glass.
