I cleaned off about 17gb of memory cards today.. ... Which means I'm finding old photos that I kinda like. :) YAY!!

Anyway. these are from last summer out at Lake Havasu.. I messed with the tint slider to brighten up the skin tones some.. not sure about the process, but I thought I would share...

CC welcome and thanks for having a look. :)

#1 My nephew.. the BG was pretty much blown out... so I just played it to my processing. Kind of fun.

#3 One of my favorite little models... She's always ready to strike a pose for her mamma. :) I did a mocha shadow action to this one.. I really like it. :)

Very nice Kristy! I really like the 3rd. The processing on that is great....where did you get that PS action?

Thanks ladies. :) I appreciate the feedback.
Rachel, the mocha shadows is a Kubota action. I do my conversion and get everything the way I want it, then run the action to give it a little more depth.. I tweak it and always reduce one of the layers called "gradient mask" or something like that. I usually do a curves adjustment to taste, so don't really have use for the gradient thing.

Hope that helps a little bit... actions are nice on a few things, but I've found that there isn't a "one thing-fits all" out there.. but I do love the mocha shadows... so typically I will add that to my B&W images as a final step.. and then tweak it to my liking..

Okay.. I'll shut up now.. ;)

#3 is SO lovely!! I'm sure the action is nice, but I have a feeling it's more a matter of your photog skills, processing skills and of course having a gorgeous model. :D

Thanks for the comments guys/gals. :)

Yes, Athena.. the action is nice, but you are right that it's only sort of an afterthought once I finish processing. The thing about Alyssa is that her eyes are just very reflective naturally... so not much is needed to bring them out...

Plus it helps to make sure the BG behind the photographer is bright.. and so the light bounces into the eyes really making the image come alive.. :)
