Man, arenacross is much harder to shoot than outdoor MX. Not only is the lighting terrible, but you have to worry about being run over!
But it's still better than a day at my "real" job.

Very nice work, though the crops are just a bit too tight.
I love the second picture - those training wheels are beyond cute  The smallest riders are always fun to watch. Kids may not have the abilities of grownup competitors, but they take their riding just as seriously.

It is always fun to watch the fearless kids take jumps that the teenagers and adults will not attempt!

These kids were funny because they would fall down inthe same turn every lap. They never realized that going too slow was making them fall over, so they would slow down even more on the next lap. But they would jump back up and get right back on the bike.
Thanks for the feedback. Sometimes the crops have to be tight because a flagman or parent would get in the pic. Also, I was asked to keep the shots tight by the production manager.
Here are a couple that were not so tight

where's the track located? that looks like a HUGE indoor track, for around here anyways (judging by the grandstands and the glass in viewing area)

yes, and he still fell over several times. I had to stop shooting and help him up a couple of times.

These are from the Jackson, MS event. They had a pretty good turnout compared to other arenas around here.
