Canon S50 RAW dumb question

Hi I wonder if someone could please help. I have just upgraded to Elements 3.0 which supports RAW , my wife always shoots pictures in “auto” mode using our s50 , is it possible to save / shoot RAW files in auto mode ?...told you it was a dumb question :)

No such thing as a dumb question :)

The answer to your question is no, and its valid for any Canon digicam in auto mode.
