Haven is my nephew, and we got to baby sit last night!! please leave honest feedback!!

Cute kid, but it looks like you used the pop-up flash. Direct flash can be harsh and lead to distracting shadows. The selective focus of the hands on the first shot works well (I have similar shots in my portfolio). Work a bit on your lighting (either get a hotshoe flash you can bounce off a wall or ceiling, or look for natural window light during the day)

Oh, and nice B&W conversion, the few times I've tried B&W, I've failed miserably.

long story short, i held my hand over the flash to block most of it, and used a table lamp for lighting, lol.

I like #1 but #2 is a little awkward to me. I don't know if it is seeing the soft skin and body of the baby on that hard and cold-looking sink. I like the concept but it just doesn't sit right with me for some reason.

You did do a great job on the conversion!

I know this is a weird CC, but the title on the 2nd looks like Baby H aven must be the font.. but its just drawing my eyes to it. Also try to move that hand wash bottle as well, its not a biggie but would improve the qualit IMO. I really like the first one and may copy you for a shoot with a baby I'm doing tomorrow. nice shots!

i agree and will fix! im sure i am not the first one to shoot this type of shot, but thanks for the positive feedback. be sure to post it.
