That all depends...are you looking to use a 1.4x, or 2x? Here is why-a 1.4x you will lose an f-stop so that 70-200 becomes a 98-280 F4 lens and almost no loss of image quality. There will be some but it isn't really woth mentioning that I have seen. Now, for the 2x you get a 140-400 F5.6 lens and I have heard that the loss is noticable and such that you wouldn't want to use it. I have never used a 2x but I have 1.4x. I really like my 1.4x! I have heard of people using a Sigma on a Canon lens and vice versa. I have never done this so I can't speak to it. I can say that the 1.4x ont he Sigma 120-300mm F2.8EX is one hell of a combo! I am waiting on fotopic to publish some pics so when that happens, I can start to show off some pics w/ that combo on a 10D. Hope this answers the quiestion to the extent that I can.

Yes ypu can use the Sigma T-cons ,. they are a near perfect match to the Canons,. and and the best non canon units for use with Canon lenses.
Take a look at our T-Con thread.. it may have all the info you seek and more.
