Hi all,
Here are some of the latest installment of pics from Alaska. The more I see of it, the better this place gets! Here are the first of the set, I will do another thread for the landscape ones. Canon EOS 10D/Sigma 120-300mm F2.8EX w/ 1.4x TC and the second one has been compressed a lot!

Here you go - I like them. I once tried to get some shots of bald eagles on Vancouver Island and ended up knee deep in water and with some fast disappearing birds! :) The first guy looks like he's winking at you - kinda reminds me of the eagle from the mummet show!

Thanks! Much appreciated! I am surprised how tolerant of humans they are. Although that perhaps could be the reason they weren't bothered about me taking some pics. They were probably 40 ft up and about 100 ft away. I need more focal length then the 670mm effective in 35mm terms that I have now. I just wish I could afford the Sigma 300-800mm F5.6EX! If that one is anything like the 120-300 we are in for a treat! The downside of this is that it is $4500 and it weights around 13 lbs. There a lot of cool bits I'd like for the camera, but nto at this time.
