I've just got my 20D (the wife finally relented) and I was wondering about what colour space to use when shooting jpegs, are you better off using Adobe RGB or sRGB. I have been playing around with Adobe elements and have noticed if you shoot with Adobe RGB the coulours don't appear to need as much or if any correct, in sRGB it looks different.

Don't say shoot RAW, I'm still learning and at the moment I only have a piddly little 256mb card so have bugger all storage. When I get my new 1 GB cards I'll start playing with RAW and see how I go.

Adobe RGB is a larger color space. That means that if your image has colors outside the sRGB range you will be able to record them and not squeeze them into sRGB. In addition if you have a high quality inkjet printer you will see the expanded range in part in your print. If all you plan to do is web graphics, sRGB is fine. Personally, I shoot Adobe RGB and use it as my working space in PS CS. If I'm going to put something on the web, I then convert to sRGB before downsizing the image. I print on an Epson 2200.
