I will be travelling to London during the last week of June and was curious about the typical temperatures during this time of year. Have heard from some that it will be warm and others say that the temperature will range between 55 and 70 degrees farenheight. Have found similar reports on the internet, just hoping someone can help me out a little. We will have approximately 30 students with us and would like to give them some idea of what type of clothing to pack. Any information would be appreciated.

You can expect many different types of weather here in the UK. June can be notoriously very wet but equally dry for longish periods.
As regards temperatures, the figures you've been given are accurate and unless your students are accustomed to Kalahari-type environments then my suggestion would be lots of clothing which could be worn as layers, concentrating on the lighter types (T-shirts, short-sleeves, cotton type fabrics). That way if there is an unexpected chill wind they can add an extra thin layer and remove it later. Packing a light-weight waterproof outer shell would also be advisable, just in case!
Hope this helps,
Barry

As the saying goes "If you don't like the weather in Britain, wait a minute!"
Typically will be warm at that time of year but not hot. Although that all depends on where in the world you are from and what temperatures you are used to.

Cheap umbrella or coat. I think my experience with London weather in June was always positive, but umbrella is a good thing. I got them as cheap as possible as I always lost mine...
I always did find June temperature pretty mild.

T-shirt under a winter/water-proof coat/jacket, you're sorted!

Thanks for the info, it is truly appreciated. Changing weather patterns is something we are accustomed to here in Kentucky, but by June our weather pattern is a little more predictable than the times between March through May. It is our first trip over seas for many of us and we want to make it as enjoyable as possible. Thanks again for the replies.

The one thing about the UK is that the temperature will be about 18°+/- 5°C and either raining or not !
Saying that my birthdays in the middle of june and we have had snow (but thats very unusual!)

See you over there then. I'm heading there for my sisters wedding for the last two weeks of June.
T shirt and a decent jacket is usual, with sweat shirts on hand back at the hotel if it decides to stay crappy for a while. Never seen snow in the south in June so no clue where that came from. It'll probably be reasonable, just don't rely on it.

Snow in June?? Wow. But on the other hand, I've seen "snow" in London. It so isn't snow! It's just cute little flour sprinkled over the city. ;)

You are so right. 3 flakes, the whole place grinds to a halt and the Londoners go into a panic

Try their hard cider. Eat a steak before you go. It's the last one you'll see 'till you get back. ;)
And, when you cross the street, look RIGHT!:D

Don't try the ecological cider. Worst thing I've ever drunk in my life (no offense).
And PhotosGuy's advice about looking before you cross the street, follow it! The first day at Uni I kept looking right and left tons of times before crossing the street to the school pub. I swear I was close to getting run over ten times that evening. (No, I was NOT drunk!) Not sure if it's my bad luck, but every time I am to cross the street drivers' seem to give more gas instead of breaking...

I used to live 'up north' perhaps that explains it !

Another saying is that in Britain there isn't a climate - just weather!
