7 and 3 are my pics, and if you were a bit looser w/ 3 it would have been better.

Nice shots, and nice meeting you there Joe. They have to be one of the most photogenic bands out there. Running around the stage following them from mic to mic was a lot of fun, kind of like playing Whack a Mole. I wasn't able to catch any shots of Lars standing - you caught a good one.

Love the way it makes it look like he has horns coming out, very devilish looking.

Wish they were coming around here, but no such luck.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I had a great time, they were fun to shoot. The lighting was a bit harsh at a lot of points, but nothing you can't deal with. I lost some shots in the beginning, I was too excited, didn't check my camera settings...I know sounds dumb, but it happens...

Very nice! Were these taken with the lenses in your sig or did you rent a 70-200 2.8?

I'm seeing them in 2 weeks when they come to Jersey. I can't wait! :D

STELLAR shots !!
I have images from years back but wasn't able to get any thing year.
They really are great at playing to the cameras ... but you are right, the lighting can be really difficult. Especially this tour with all the lazars ! LOVE THE SHOTS !!

I imagine you really had to hustle in that time since most of the big acts only allow the first two or three songs.

Awesome shots! I especially like 2, looks straight out of a music video!

Was going to try and go to this show (as a fan, no way in hell I could get a pass!), but ended up having to pass. Going to try and catch them in NY though!

More Metallica, excellent - It must be great to photograph these guys while enjoying the live performance on top.
