Here's a 5 second exposure with the 1Ds MkII and the Canon 17-40mm "L" lens from London. This one is Westminster from across the Thames.

I was interviewed by the police while I took shots of Westminster. They were polite and courteous. They wanted to make sure I was taking photographs for personal or commercial use. Apparently two police officers stand duty across the Thames from the Houses of Parliament all night.
I do love the night photography abilities of the 1Ds MkII. 1000 pixels really does not do just to all of the detail in the 16.7 megapixel images.
Enjoy.
Cheers,
Mitch
