Would 4.2 megs be sufficient to make 8 * 10 prints?

From a quality lab, yes. Remember that when looking at the print, you stand back from it a bit. If you were to closley compare it to a print from a 10mp camera, you might see a difference.

No problem. BUT if you need to justify upgrading your gear, I can always say No, it can't print 8x10 :lol:

haha, I am planning to. my 5D is coming in. Need to use the last of my 1D for this project tho...

4.2 can do a 8 x10 print, but versatility of the 5d will enable larger prints in the future...unlike your like me going to do like wall size prints...=P
