I got my 17-40 L f4 yesterday. I think I'm going to really like this lens. My worry was that the 1.6 factor making it a 28.2mm would not be wide enough, but after taking a few shots, I feel that will be fine. Well built, much better than the Vivitar Series 1, 19-35 it replaces.
I also receive the Velbon Neo-pod 7 carbon fiber monopod. Really nice quality. In fact, it is so robust, that I think the Neopod-6 would have been fine as long as I don't get some of the super heavy super telephotos like the pros use at sporting events. I think its a very good value at $130. It is really hard to buy tripods and monopods, because there are so few places to actually see the gear, you just have to figure it out on the "net.":confused:
