WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK: PART 147 -- Round

Every week we select a new theme to shoot. This week's theme is Round. Be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme -- the sky's the limit!


Here are the rules:

1. Shots need to be taken between sunrise Monday and sunset the following Sunday. Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snap shots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!

2. Post your shots at any time during the week.

3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e.,embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. I'm thinking of getting a point-and-shoot for its portability and handiness.
So I borrowed my Dad's PowerShot A590IS to use for a while to get a feel for point-and-shooters.

Here are some round things I found with Dad's camera.

Right now I have mixed feelings about the camera.
One thing I worry about is controlling DOF (I love shots like Joayne's oranges!).
So I was pleasantly surprised by the apple shot above.
Of course, to get that shot I had to put the camera really close to the apples, and people gave me some strange looks.:lol:

Barbara, these are nice! I think you did well for your first foray into P&S land. Could shooting in macro mode help with your DOF needs?

I finally have some ideas for what to shoot...I'll post em up later :-)
