I found a couple of groups of Pelicans today and got a few good shots. This is one of the first one's that 'looked ok.' I think they are just passing through however and I hope to get some nice shots before they all move up north for the spring and summer.

Great shot, the branches/sticks (whatever those ar ein the front) are very distracting, I would get rid of them.
Very nice, great refelctions and color.

I wouldn't have expected there to be pelicans there. I thought they stayed around the ocean. Nice shot of him, though.

I must have seen four or five groups of these today, perhaps a hundred birds total. It was fun to watch them swim so far down and then turn in unison and all start fishing back the other way, over and over. They look like ancient birds in flight, like the birds that lived with the dinosaurs . . . I am pleased to have them stop by for a while.
Thanks for you kind words as always.

Good shot, as always. Many years ago, I was surprised to learn that white pelicans summer in places like the Rockies, much farther north than Wyoming. Most of us assume they stay near the coast, but it's just not so.
