Something about her face made me think of a 17th century painting. I almost overlooked it in the original photo. Added a little noise for effect.

Very nice. Too bad the hand was in her face, or maybe not. I can't make up my mind about it. Adding the noise definately enhances the emotional impact.

Wow youre right. Something in her face looks very antique. I wonder if it was her hair or just her features alone.

I like this shot a lot. The hand doesn't bother me at all - it just places her among some other dancers. The "Rembrandt" lighting is perfect and she has a very pretty face and expression. The post processing enhances the effect even more.

Make sure the mother gets a nice print of this shot. I shoot young dancers as well and know this one would be treasured.
