This is my first attempt to do some one else child, he was very easy to work with, Is there anything I could of done to improve this picture.

I think that is a very cute picture. I would adjust the levels a bit to make the eyes pop.

Nice shot, but wants a little more depth of field to get both eyes in focus. It could also do with slight lightening and I personally would prefer a slightly more rectangular framing. Were you fairly close with a wide angle lens? Although you can't see much of the child's body the head looks proportionally large & a wide angle lens would explain that - the antidote would be a longer focal length if room allowed. It could be argued that including the hand would also improve the shot.

thanks I was using a 18-55 IS lens and my camera is a Rebel XT and I was only using my 430 EX flash bounce off the Celing, for that is all of the lightening I have right now. I did crop it so I can see if I can recrop and see how that turns out.
