I am soon arriving in Miami for my 3 week holiday in Orlando.
We will arrive late in Miami so we will stay one night at the airport hotel.
Next morning around 0800 we will drive up to Orlando for checkin around 1600.
Any suggestions on a scenic route?
Any suggestions for short stops, for example where to eat lunch?

Im assuming your an adult but no matter, you still have to make a trip to disney land. The walk in pass alone gets you in the mood of things. I went with my son last year just after I got into digital and we must have took 2000 shots between the two of us in the park, and we went on all the rides too, so thats alot of shots with so little time lol. I believe we went to magical kingdom, and then i cant remember the other one.
Other hot places to go is Daytona both for the beaches and the race track. You gets ome awesome shots. I also went to the Kennedy Space center, that was neat, and then thats about all I can remember doing as i am old and cant remember much :P
I notice ur from denmark. Im not completely sure but isnt "march break" (canada) in the United States during April and called "Spring Break"?? If so if it falls on ur vacation time then u better get down to miami or daytona beaches and see some wild stuff. :)

WDW, Universal, Seaworld, Discovery Cove are all on the list. This will be my 4th. visit to Orlando.
Since we have 8 hours to kill on the way from Miami to Orlando we wanted to take it easy while driving up there.

I would take US27 out of Miami and all the way up to Orlando. It used to be THE route back in the golden age of tourism before the Interstate system and Turnpike came around. It probably won't take 8 hours, but you will certainly get a different view of the state compared to the Turnpike or I95. If I have the time, I try to travel the "old" routes whenever possible. Much more enjoyable driving, even if it does take longer.

We did US27 the three years ago and though its nice in places, it is kind of boring, especially if you have kids with you. Two years ago we went up I95 and just kept dropping off onto local roads to visit the beaches and do a drive by the Kennedy Space Centre etc. We all enjoyed that. We came back down 75 to the everglades and did an Airboat ride etc. That was very good though you may be pushing it in 8 hours.
