did anyone notice the old codger with what looked like a kit lens and built in flash walk down the steps behind the pres during speach? saw his daughter recording the moment with a p and s, there were quite a few amateur photogs at work in the vip section. Nice to see, I enjoyed the feeling that the inaugural grandstand was informal enough to get up from your seat and get a better shot if you wanted to.

I saw him, looked like a rebel or noink equivalent.

Also noticed the chairman of the joint chiefs (Adm Mullen) taking P&S photos about the same time.

I saw one Noink photographer in the hallway leading down to the "pulpit" the rest were Canon.

Jeremy Cowart of Nashville was there shooting at the Inauguration. Him and a fellow photog. He shoots Canon...
