Have I done the right thing!
After looking at all the opinions and reviews on here I have decided to act, probably too impulsively, but never mind thats the type of person I am (lol).
I am interested in horse racing photography and I need a fast lens with a fast AF system.
My Canon D60 is a brilliant camera but lacks the Af speed to get tack sharp pics at the sports I want to shoot, so I am ditching all my gear and have purchased a used 70-200mm f2.8 canon lens and I am now going in for a Canon 20D tomorrow. This is costing me aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Sorry about that I had a keyboard freeze!
So as I say it has almost broke me. I expect to get abot £300 for my Canon D60 with card and 35-90mm ef lens and battery grip, so i am now skint.
Please reassure me that the results will be worth it and the 20D will not let me down

The 20D is an impressive camera, so is the 70-200mm lens. You have definitely stepped up several rungs.

The full frame Canon's are still the best when it comes down to it, but are a high premium cost.

There have been some complaints about Error 99 messages with the 20D, although I have not experienced that myself (knocking on wood), but in general, it has been a successful and well received camera design.

Enjoy.
