View Full Version : SD400 Corrupting Cards
20th of January 2009 (Tue), 21:38
I have had this camera for a good while, and it has taken some incredible images.
Recently, I took a picture & the screen showed what looked like a blur - modern art.
Tried to re-format card & it says -"Corrupted Card"
Any suggestions, or is it done for?

Try reformatting it in the computer. Do you have another card? I'm more inclined to consider the card than the camera to be at fault.

I had the same problem with an my old S400. There is an advisory from canon on it. They will fix the issue free. I sent mine in about 2 weeks ago and received it within a week and a half. Works like a champ. I bought the camera about 4 years ago so the warranty does not matter. They sent me a shipping label so it was not charge. Just tell them your getting a "memory card error" and you should be golden. Go onto the canon website and search S400. Youll see the advisory. Let us know how it turns out.

Theres an issue with the LCD screen so your modern art might be caused by that.
