A third light.
The Sigma ST model is not useable off-camera. There's no way to make it fire off the hotshoe. For E-TTL flash on the hotshoe (or with an Off Camera Shoe Cord) it's fine.

so it doesnt work off cam, even with a wireless trigger?Several reports in this forum have indicated that the Sigma EF-500 DG ST model will not fire when connected to a hotshoe adapter, regardless whether that adapter is connected to a radio receiver, optical slave or a PC cord straight to the camera. Apparently it requires full communication with the camera through the multiple contacts of an E-TTL hotshoe, even in manual mode.
The Sigma EF-500 DG Super model can be fired with a hotshoe adapter, but only when it's set to optical slave mode. The ST model has no such mode.
