Going to Heathrow, where to shoot?

In a couple of weeks I am going to Heathrow to pick the girlfriend up after she has been in South Africa for 6 weeks (great for some).

Anyway I thought I would pop down a bit earlier and take some photos. Her flight lands at 6pm so it will be pitch black by then. I was thinking about getting there for 4ish and getting some photos in the fading light.

I will also try and get some internal photos of terminal 5 which is an amazing building. Do they have any rules on photography within the terminals?

So, does anyone have a recommendation as to where I can get some great photos (I have already seen some on this forum). I will be getting there by tube so I won't want to be walking all around west London!

The police won't let you take pictures in T5. Although if you ask them nicely they may and have "turned a blind eye" to 1-2 photos being taken.

As for outside the airport, no idea about how security is about photos of planes.
