For starters, I am not talking about all the third party add-ons that are being developed for the video use of 5Dmk2. I´m thinking about a complete, reasonably prized pro/semi-pro video camera with FF sensor, manufactured by Canon.
The way I see it, there shouldn´t be any major technical obstacles. Take 5Dmk2 and ditch the mirror, pentaprism and other still camera functions. Keep the sensor and EF bayonet, add video controls and design a new video camera style body. Even if the price were to double or triple, it would be small change in pro video world. Do you think we will see such a beast in near future?
