Hmmm... I was going to say that sounds too good to be true but was surprised to see good reviews on sellerratings.com: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/HVStar

I've never purchased anything from them.

Let us know how it goes...

Wonder if it voids your warranty if it messes up your camera

Ah, but now they have a chip which allows Canon to charge much more ;)

Oh, this is a third party battery? When I read "the battery" I thought it was authentic, hence my "too good to be true" thought. My mistake.

Why would it mess up the camera lol...and yeah but who needs that chip anyway? I dont need the camera to tell me how many shots I have taken on a single charge or the %of power left over haha...those 4 cells do just fine:)

Heard good reviews about them from my fellow country mates as they purchase filters from them so i guess you are safe to make the purchase.

As for the battery itself, i think it will only be able to charge using the charger that comes with it and no info on the battery when you plug it in your 5DMkII as it does not come with a chip. Might worth the try for the low cost.

For me, i am still waiting for a better alternative. :)
