I got my Westcott Apollo 28" x 28" softbox today.

I didn't have anyone to test this out today so I snapped few stuff around the house.

I'm bit new to using a softbox, so would love to know if #1, #2 or #3 has a better lighting.

I'm testing the flash output, aperture, ISO and the softbox distance from the subject to get the right lighting.

I like the result of #1. But, is it too harsh?

First off if- you like the result- it is not too harsh. You do tend to loose grain detail loss but not by much.
It is very difficult to judge the quality of light with the subject matter. There are no real shadows to define here.
Honestly it appears to be a slight density change.
