Not the most exciting purchase, but I finally found a reasonably-priced medium-sized shoulder bag that will hold a 1-series or 10D/20D/300 with battery pack and a long lens. Plus, plenty of other stuff. Right now, I've got the 1D-2 with 70-200 attached, the 24-70/2.8, a 15 mm fisheye, 1.4X teleconverter, and my 420EX flash in the bag without any trouble. Hoods are on both zooms (the fisheye has a built-in hood). A couple of filters and cleaning kit are in there as well.
It's the perfect size for those 1-day excursions or short trips when you need more than just 1 lens, but not a large assortment. It'll carry the 100-400 instead of the 70-200 easily.
