It's not actually a breed. Cute photo's.

My mistake, I've never seen the two breeds (I'm assuming poodle and golden retriever) mixed together. I should have said: "Never saw the combination before." I still like it.

Correct!! Can differ quite a bit in looks, but most have great temperaments but not usually for the first time buyer.

I love the pose in the second. A few lil tips. I would have really liked it if you were lower.

You are right... I would have liked to shoot from lower angle also! But an arthritic knee prevents that! I get my new knee installed on February 2nd. Hopefully, that will help... I have noticed an increasing inability to shoot from low positions over the last couple of years and that has been very frustrating.

An above poster is correct also in that a Goldendoodle is not a breed per se, but an intentional breeding between Golden Retriever and Poodle. Holly's mom is a Golden Retriever and her dad is a Standard Poodle which makes Holly an F-1 doodle. If she were bred back to a poodle, the result would be an F-2 Doodle. Holly, as an F-1, sheds minimally but the F-2 doodles do not shed at all and are totally hypo allergenic and perfect for folks with high allergic reactions to dogs.

The Golden Doodles and Labradoodles (Labrador Retriever + Poodle) were originally designed as guide and service dogs for persons who for allergy reasons cannot have Labradors or Golden Retrievers to assist them.

BTW: I have had dogs all my long life and have shared my home with various pure breeds and various mixed breeds. I have never known a dog smarter than Holly; although a Portuguese Water Dog and a German Shepherd/Wolf hybrid who have shared their lives with me were very close in intelligence.
