Well it was bound to happen sooner or later . . . Double-crested Cormorant's and American White Pelicans living together. I found this pair sharing a log in the Bear River, I can not say for sure but they seem to be traveling the same area together. I found this combo together in both the north and south end of the marsh. We are getting all kinds of odd birds and such in the area. I need to take my spotting scope so I can view that which I can not photograph. Nice time of year for sure.

I think Cormorant is the latin word for 'sea crow' and you can see why it is named thus. I can see the feather pattern here and the color of the double crests. I do not know if in the 'squeeze' to fit the forum those made it to you or not. It took more shots than I care to admit too to get get this one. I suppose it even could be better.
