Sandisk xstreme 4 with 5D Mark 1

Hi

Is it worth to buy a sandisk Extreme 4 disk for the 5D?
I heard that it will not improve speed because the protocol from the 5D is different from the protocol to get max advantige in speed with the Extreme 4.

Other question, does this combo work?

anyone having experience?

I use this card in my 5D mk 1, I have no problems with it, although I am not worried about the speed of the card, it's plenty fast enough for me and the combo certainly works well, even on rapid shooting (well, as rapid as the 5D mk 1 gets):)

I needed to know in case I want to buy some extra cards and then maybe I can choose next time for the faster one.
