In case you're wondering, I tried to read all the other "bag posts" on here, but they aren't really what I need. ;)

What are your recommendations for a bag that would meet the criteria of:

Fairly small/lightweight (I'm a small person and a weakling too  )
Waterproof
Enough compartments to fit what is below and room to add another lens (such as 200mm later on) and possibly flash
Distributes weight evenly on my back not to strain
UNDER $50.00!
I want to carry:

20 D
85mm lens (usually attached to body)
15-75mm kit lens
2 batteries/1 charger
flash cards
Camera manual

Also, I'd like to have a zippered compartment for snacks like energy bars or crackers. :p

Another thing I wanted to ask is which would distribute weight the best of these?

Backpack style
Shoulder bag
Sling style bag

With all that said, here is the one I'm looking at....would it work? I really like all the features it has and it offers the most for the money. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=199785&is=REG

Please share your thoughts, advice, experience, and anything else you wish to add! Thanks! :D

I currently use the Tamrac 5743 Velocity 3 for my 300D, 18-55, 50mm mkII and 75-300 IS as well as a number of CF cards, lens hoods, batteries and manuals.

See http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=248118&is=REG

I find it very verstale and usually wear it slung with the strap across my chest. It's also quite slim and looks more like a messenger bag than a camera bag so hopefully might deter some would be thieves

May be worth a look for you?

Cool. :) Do you have any photos of what the inside looks like maybe? Oh, is that one waterproof, or not?

Waterproof was the big seller for me, wading through gorges with bag and gear cant afford to trip.... oops $7K of camera gear down the drain.

With this in mind I purchased a Lowepro DryZone 200. This is a large backpack but it has a little brother the DryZone 100. Unsure of cost but due to the waterproof membrane and sealing zipper it isn't the cheapest option.

Hi Sugar, (sounds a little sexist, doesn't it?) sorry - couldn't help myself. I currently have a black Expedition 3 and I'm ready to put it on ebay. It's a great bag but just a hair too small for me. I have a dRebel w/grip, kit lens, 70-300mm IS zoom, a 50 mm f/1.8, and a 420 speedlight. this will all just about fit but not quite. So I guess I'll have to go bigger. Happy hunting!
