Has anyone here been to St Martin Island?

I've been there, on a cruise, so it was a short stay. Not sure what advice you need, other than bring your gear. Not sure they'll let you bring it onto the nude beach.

Well, I'm wondering if it is better to stay on one side or the other? I'm currently looking for lodging and the internet say's that EVERYWHERE is great! I want to be on or facing the water/beach so I'm just looking on how to narrow this down. Have no intrest in the nude beach.
