This is my first ever post anywhere about photography. Last week I returned from Guatemala where I took about 2,000 pics. I used a newly acquired Canon Rebel with a zoom lens. Admittedly, I am as new as they come to the hobby. The picture has been doctored up by Elements. Please give me some pointers. Do NOT be easy or "gentle"--how else can I learn? Tell me what I did wrong and how I can do better. Maybe I should not have doctored it up so much? Does the vertical color change line distract? Would it have been better to have that line behind the man? Was it bad to have the photo at the bottom end with his knees? Thanks for your constructive criticism. Oh. Caution: I have 1,999 more photos!
I also decided to add one more. This was an early morning shot also taken in Antigua. Thanks for looking and providing constructive criticism.
