I went downtown yesterday to take some photos. I found a variety of photographers and I thought Iīd be interesting to take their pics. What do u think?

How does Photographer #2 take a pic without falling down? (ok maybe poor taste, but tell me you weren't thinking the same thing?) Nice captures - keep the candids coming!

To be honest, I thought the same... Look at his face, his expression... He is tired.

A couple more:

I think the 2nd shows the most emotions and is a great photo.

It goes to show you that even know you may have something wrong with you if you set your mind to it you can do whatever you want.

LOL those are sort of funny. I like the first one with the ancient cammera and the (sort of) modern flash. The last picture, I had that camera good old Rebel G! Great pictures and thanks for showing me what kind of camera they use in nonwealthy nations, boy I sure take my Elan 7 for granted even though I think it is out of date, its pretty state-of-the-art compared to those guys. If I had Digital SLR (saving for on) I'd send my Elan 7 to the guy in the first one, he'd probably love it!

I think they have old cameras because they are nonwealthy. They work in the streets taking photos of tourists... And that seems a very exhausting job. The heat was so high!, like 30 degrees celcius...

It also goes to show that people love to take pictures...no matter how old the equipment, how infirm the phtotographer is or how hot the temperature is (or how cold for you easterners).

the first two guys are street photographers
(for money)
they can be very aggressive at times
I know the look from past experience
they are fairly hardened men and look it

Are the first two polaroid type cameras? So that the tourists can get the pic in a few minutes? (didn't think they would wait to have them developed!)

Nice shots Fer, I like the first one. BTW, did you see the old photos that I posted of my grandfather. I liked the ones you posted so much, I thought I would show some of mine too. It's probably on the 2nd page by now. Titled "Inspired by Fer" ;)

Great shots, Fer. I have to wonder how the flash works with that old camera in the first couple shots, though.

A couple years ago on a trip to England, my brother got talked into having his picture taken by a street photographer. He was using a regular film camera. My brother completely forgot about it until about a month after he got back home and he got a package in the mail. It was the pictures.

apologies with my hasty reply earlier Fer
the pictures brought back memories

years ago there was a man very like the man in the first shot
who would stand on the main bridge in the city over here
(with a camera exactly like that)
and he took random shots of anyone passing by

then he demanded money on the spot and wanted names and addresses.
said he would post the pictures. he already had taken the shots by then .
that was how he operated

he would get really angry, blocking people's way
most people said they were not interested and wanted to move on
but he would persist standing in front of them saying that he had taken their picture and they should pay.

these would be people busily walking past on their way to business or entertainment and he was always there.
that's the way he done the business.

some got past very quickly when they got to know his ways

just explaining for Geeyejo as he asked the question
but these men in your pictures may not do that exactly

it brought the other man to mind and sometimes it stops our other vision when we get memories

love the shots and apologies again Fer

thanks

No need to apology Marie :D

That was rude of him. I kept watching these guys and the asked in a polite way, so maybe the attitude depends on the guy ;)
