Anyone ever search for photo or video tours of others studios? Well Im finishing my 4800 square foot studio downtown. Its complete with a small sitting area and gallery. I also have a wonderful alley, eal graffitti, etc. The upstairs is an open area with 10 foot tall windows. Im not trying to brag, but Im really excited. So Im going to make a video tour of it and show you guys. PLEASE DO THE SAME OF YOUR STUDIOS. :D
Link to my video BEFORE work has been done...

Remember, its very poor video,I just grabbed the cam and ran. We started upstairs in the old rough part. The newer downstairs is later in the video.

Nothing wrong with being proud of your studio. Looks great and a lot of oppurtunity for great pics. If I had a studio then I would shoot a video. I would be interested in seeing other studios as well.

wow that is a HUGE studio! Looks like a ton of work to get that fixed up. Really cool though as it seems you could have a ton of different shoots in one building

wow, i just setup a downtown studio also. my space was in bad shape... but wow, this is going to be a lot of work my friend. for fun, i've attached a few shots of my studio before and some shots of after a bit of work.. we're still a ways off from being completed though.
Still need to install the custom shelves above desks, clear coat desks & furnish.
There is a large office all the way back that will be break/kitchen room & a 1500 sq ft. shooting space with 15ft ceilings & 3 stall garage. Fun stuff ;-)

Thanks to all. I have been without power and cable internet for 14 days! Im in western KY which has just made national news with our recent ice storm.
Nice pics above. Did you lay the floors? If so... Please share.

Yeah we did lay the floors. We had a small budget and a friend of ours loves his power tools. So, we went into home depot, bought an inexpensive plywood.. the cheapest we could find with a decently smooth feel. We had the guy at home depot rip them into 4'x4' sheets. Then we took a handheld grinder to put a slight bevel on the edge of the boards.
Laid them with a grain checker patter, screwed them into the floor using 1.5 inch screws and finishing washers. sanded them with a hand sander and put 3 coats of polyeurathane.
Very cheap to accomplish, maybe $350 or so for the entire floor. As stated above each square is 4'x4'.
*note: this wood is not really firm so desk chairs do put some wear marks on the ground. we've purchased clear rubber mats to roll on ;-)
