I stink at critiques but lovely horse, beautiful face on him/her, love to see without the halter. Do you know what breed it is?

What a beauty. Looks like there is some Arab in there :)

While I do have & love my 20D, I also own and love my Pro1....the lens on it is fabulous, don'tchathink?
Isn't there something 'weird' about shooting a horse???? LOL

I am not sure. I am no expert when it comes to horses. Maybe someone else here knows? If I had to guess I'd say he's an American Quarter Horse. It's funny that at least three others in the herd had the same diamond marking. Here's another shot of him. He's definitely not camera shy. As soon as he saw me he came accross the pasture and I was able to pet him.

The dishy face suggests some Arab, as well as the ears and the nostrils. Maybe they are a Quarterhorse/Arab cross.
I agree with Courtknee, that horse pictures are better without the halters on. Expensive leather ones might be alright though.
Great shots all of them.

Looks like a hunt bred Quarter Horse, or a Thoroughbred perhaps, Arabs faces are usually very exotic with teacup muzzles, big eyes and long ears that curl inwards at the tips.
