Here are two variations of a photo of a building entrance. the first is the original photo, the second has been changed in photoshop, which kind of makes it look like a painting.

I hope you dont mind, I made another variation.

Desaturated, and added a little touch of "sepia" effect. I think its better this way.

I like the 'painted' effect. It moves it into art and just outside of the 'real' world.


Reality is for people who can't tolerate drugs.:lol:

no, i went to unsharp mask and set amount to 450%, the radius to about 70, and threshold to 1. it was completely by accident that i did that when i was messing with sharpening the original image, which is usually how i get my best images :D

4nr, also look nice for me if u desaturate the 2nd one and color balance it to yellow and red..

great shot n building anyway.. u should proud of it

The painted effect is very dramatic and I like it alot. Nicely done.

Well, knowing that building this is tough :lol: :lol: I Like all 3 but I think I like the first one the best, maybe because I see it so often. I say one thing those old buildings there sure have a lot of charcter. you could fill up an entire flash card in that area alone.

I think that the painting effect is great. Sepia is also good but I would pick number 2 first.
