While using other browsers other than IE and Firefox.
Just as an experiment using another browser on my linux pc, and realised that other people were probably downloading one of photos i.e. it had the largest viewings compared to the rest of my other photos on my site
I know of others who had the same with others sites they were using, but I thought Flickr was safer.
Anyone else realise this?

Not sure what you are saying, but as far as I'm concerned, anything that's on the net is downloadable. That's why I only put low res, watermarked images online in open galleries...

 Anytime you put photos in an online sharing site, you run the risk of people downloading your photos to their computer. Why put a large size up unless for a specific issue?
I suggest putting a maximum 600 pixel image on the long side with a watermark over teh center of the image. Only upload one size and never upload the full resolution files to a site where anyone in the world can download them for free.

Most of them are not full resolution photos, i.e. not the original file

If it's online, it will get stolen. I was going through my site statistics last night and found one site had a few referrals to mine (i.e. link). Well, the site was a message board and some guy posted how to steal my images with samples and instructions. They were taking screen shots and cropping the watermark out to use head shots of players I took. I believe they are using them illegally in a commercial game - can you say law suit?
Flickr is probably the most used site out there to steal photos. Low res or not people will steal them.
