YEa man it will work in auto mode but not in Ettl mode, works in eveeything but ettl, its a little slow in the focus assit but in auto thyrister mode it very accurate, more so than any canon flash, it wont sense you change f stops on the camera which is a good thing, use it in thyrister mode and love it.

note that you can't do 'fill' flash using it in AV or TV modes. the moment you put the flash on, it immediately goes into flash mode and overrides the exposure.
