new lens - new HDR test shots

like a homo-consumerous living in a country during winter time I got my hands on a Canon 17-55 f/2.8 IS USM lens. Among other tests I also shot a couple of HDR photographs, consisting of 5 exposures captured as RAW files and merged/tonemapped in PS. Comments are always welcome...

It is indeed layered, a desaturated below the original but I didn't mask anything because I didn't have the need to experiment on the position and scaling of the saturated parts... I just deleted the portions that I needed from the top layer (the saturated) using a saved selection (the right one), then reloaded the selection, scaled it at the 1/3 of the initial width and used it to crop the left part.

In fact it wasn't a pre-planned output, I was just looking at this photo, speculating once more that my living room is still too geometric and full of rectangles (I will fix that soon), and then while trying to crop it using as a guide the rule of thirds I figured that this effect would match.

If you need any clarifications, which I doubt because you seem to know how PS works, feel free to ask. I am very glad you like it and really appreciate you took a moment and commented on my post. :)

I use to do similar stuff in Flash. A lot easier there, cause it's all in layers you can see and animation is on a timeline, and masks act like masks. ;)
