I have a 20d and am using my old fixed focus screw in mount lens'. My Dilema (as it seems many others), since I am not a professional I can't justify a canon 70-200 2.8.
I am considering a 70-200 4l or a sigma 70-200 2.8. My biggest enjoyment so far is shooting volleyball and trying to freeze action with hand on the ball. Any suggestions from experience?

Both are good. If it's volleyball... the L should be fine, cause u have enough light.

The sigma 70-200 2.8 is great...a bit heavy, but the 4L should be fine also...maybe work off a monopod. If you use a noise reduction tool (Noise Ninja, neatimage, or the free one that comes with the new Photoshop Elements), don't be afraid to use high ISO (up to 1600!)
