I agree with you, #1 is great. The sidewalk looks a bit blown out, but the black and white helps it out quite a bit.
I also like #5. The position of the girl in the frame adds interest, and the hair in her face gives her anonymity. And it has a Mustang in the background, and it's one of my favorite cars :)
