all critisism welcome. but before it gets said 100 times. its not sharp i know. i buggered up with my focus which is unforgivable but i liked the shot so much i tried to rescus it abit by soft focusing the image in photoshop

thanks

I would suggest you put all these images in one thread instead of making 3 of them. It's not a bad shot but the color is very dull and boring.

have you any pictures online anywhere i can learn the meaning of colour from theperhaps michael?
i post pictures on this site as i try my best to improve and my photography. i love seeing other photographers work, learning from it and reading peoples views...
i am not sensetive to critisism and genuinly seek constructive views on my pictures so i can improve. however, the emphasis is on 'constructive' critisism rather than rude negative words suvch as 'boring'.
as i said, i'd be delighted to see some of your work so i may learn from your obvious superiority

cheers michael, have a good day!

I'm not partial to the pose on this one. I think it makes her look way too tall. For a full length shot I would have included the shoes.

I find the rest of it ok.

yes i know what u mean! i still cant decide if its works or not. i wanted an unuusal composition so used a wide angle for a distorted look by lieing at her feet and shooting up at her. unfortunately the widest i had on a digital SLR was 28ml and couldnt fit her damn feet in but yeah, it should have her full length

in some levels i guess it works. not every shot has to be focused and not everyshot has to be well framed to get a message out(if that was your purpose). if you meant it to be that way then i can only judge it as something i like or not like. i like it.

I agrre with michael. the color is boring, the shot is out of focus.pose is kinda cool.
ps if you are not interested in hearing critiques, please dont post. the word "boring" is far from harsh. Now if he said this photo is a total piece of S%$t then i would probably say that would be too harsh.

I think it is boring the same way a picture by Helmut Newton is boring. Except Helmet would have shown the shoes and they would have been remarkable shoes. LOL

Seriously, I like it. What's wrong with the color? I think it's fine.

Do it again. Fix the focus. Include the feet (if you want) and show us the result!

Youre too sensative. I didnt interpret it as an insult.

I dont like the shot. Not an attractive angle.

You had me going for a second there.

Back tot the photo. I like the shot and the angle. I can't comment on the color because of the monitor I am using at work, but the focus could use a little help. I think you did good on having a different composition and to me that adds to it.

It's a great start.

Interesting composition, perhaps, the lack of focus adds to the provocitive nature of the shot.

I like it, but I like artistic shots.

Things I might have done differently (or knowing me I would have messed up also)
1. move the focus point up
2. tone down the reflection on the right side of the mirror
3. Maybe include the shoes (or move up about 2 inches on the model) pick one
4. Add a touch more saturation.

Things to keep if you try it again;
The lights on both sides, the top of the mirror and the focal point (as opposed to focus point) of the shot. and most importantly her expression.

Just my opinion, feel free to ignore

Don't agree with the boring color - nothing boring about this gal IMHO - agree though about including the shoes (must be my foot fetish...) Would also be interesting in B&W

Doesn't look very boring to me!

Nice shot, although I do agree with the comments about keeping her feet in the shot. Difficult to know how to focus this - probably focus on the face and stop down as much as poss to max the dof.

I might take out the candle things on the wall. To me it gives an illusion of a big head or shoulders, my eye is drawn to those for some reason. Take a piece of paper and block them out on the screen and see what you think.
