I wanted to test out shooting tethered for a portrait shoot so I set everything up and snagged my dad for a model overall I like shooting tethered and really like how this image came out what do you think? It did soften up a bit in the down conversion for web.

Well I am not sure if it's a good or bad thing that no one has anything to say.

I think you did a very good job here. Like the lighting.

Actually I think its a good shot..kinda dark around the edges, but the light/focus is where it counts...thanks for sharing.

Personally, take all the photos that you can of your father (parents)

I lost my Mom last month and I treasure the images, as does my family, that I was able to capture.

Nice shot

Very good, just step back the vignette a bit and you'll be golden. :)

Good shot. I agree about scaling the vignette back just a tad. A little vignette is good though. I think you did a good job on the focus, lighting, etc.

My mother wants me to let you know that you did a good job with this photo. The important part is the drawing area, and his face has character that works well for a darkly bordered shot like this. Many good portraits are done with a single loop-light.

The only maybe to change is just a small twist of the head so the right ear is just out of sight. It says your Dad and I dont know him. The photo looks nature and real and thats the way its done.

I think you did a great job; but if you reshoot, have him lift his chin a bit and maybe raise camera a bit to compensate.
